Editorial policy and review methodology
This page describes how the content of Inversión Mensual is produced, so you can judge how far to trust it. The person responsible for everything published is the site owner, Mario Marin Fernandez.
Primary sources
Each strategy page is written from the original source: the book, the paper or the author's website. Those sources are listed at the bottom of the page with the date they were consulted. When we have not been able to consult the original source, the page says so and relies on identified secondary sources. ETF price data comes from a market data provider, and the methodology details which data is used and its limitations.
How each signal is calculated
A month's signal is the portfolio that results from applying, with that month's closing prices, the rules as their author published them: asset universe, momentum period, safe asset and number of assets to hold. The rules of each strategy are written on its page, and the methodology explains how performance is measured: trading costs, reinvestment and data period. The signal is logged on the day of the close in the signal log and is not changed afterwards; if it had to be corrected, a dated note is added.
What "reviewed" means
The "Reviewed on…" date on each page or guide is the date of the last check of the content against its sources. It is not the date of the latest signal or the latest price: those are shown separately. A page can remain valid unchanged and have a review date earlier than the latest monthly close.
Not advice
All content is educational and informational. It does not take your personal situation into account and is not an investment recommendation. Historical results, and simulated ones even more so, do not guarantee future results. Before acting with your money, consult a professional.
Use of AI tools
Artificial intelligence tools are used to help draft, proofread and write the calculation code. Nothing is published without human review, and the owner is solely responsible for what appears on the site, including mistakes. The figures shown come from the site's calculation engine and market data, not from a language model.
Corrections policy
If you spot an error, write to us from the contact page giving the page and the figure. A factual error is corrected as soon as it is verified and the page or guide shows the date of the correction. Errors that change the meaning of a conclusion are noted visibly, not just silently replaced.
Advertising and affiliates
The site displays advertising and currently has no affiliate links. Income does not influence which strategies are included, how they are measured or what is concluded from them. If affiliate links were added, they would be flagged. The full policy is at advertising and affiliates.
